Full refurbishment and loft conversion of this very special flat within a previously converted Victorian school.

The existing flat was stripped out in its entirety and the existing large loft space was opened up. A new central staircase was designed to access all floor levels and a mezzanine living space was left open to a double-height void above the dining space.

Our approach towards this refurbishment was to create simple, crisp spaces that formed a neutral canvas within which key chosen materials and the clients’ own furniture and personal belongings would feature.

The selected materials (exposed brickwork, concrete worktops, ‘blued’ steel railings, stone tiling) add a sense of warmth to the predominantly white interiors; whilst the final layout offers this family of three a fantastic home with great flexibility to cater for modern living.
